Bio:

Alexandre began his studies in music during childhood but chose to pursue communication and cinema upon entering university in his hometown of São Paulo, Brazil. At the time, he worked in the production and direction of commercial spots. Years after releasing his first fiction short film, he moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where he founded BASE Comunicação Audiovisual, an audiovisual communication agency managing specialized accounts for various brands and products. Simultaneously, with a more artistic approach, he dedicated himself to the world of poetry film, fiction, and drama.

Resuming his academic activities, he earned a Master's degree in Cinematic Project Development with a specialization in Narratology and Cinematic Narratives. Later, he completed a PhD in Communication Sciences, also specializing in Cinema, at NOVA University Lisbon, where he is currently a researcher at IFILNOVA – NOVA Institute of Philosophy. He is also a professor of Audiovisual Communication at a renowned professional school in Lisbon and is frequently invited as a story consultant for projects aiming for cinematic audience impact.

His most recent and ongoing project, focused on promoting the sharing of narratives as a means of therapeutic self-care, was the founding of PROSA Plataforma Cultural. This community-driven space offers activities that harness the transformative power of narrative and visual arts. Under his curation and through the creation of an extensive network of cinema spectators, PROSA hosts weekly film cycles and screenings followed by discussions and analyses.
